Driver presentation: Magnus Öhman & Cristoffer Bergström

The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East is glad to welcome back Swedish gentleman driver Magnus Öhman for the 2016/17 season. The 54-year old is already a regular to this attractive winter championship, having taken part in both the 2014/15 and 2015/16 edition.

This year the huge Porsche fan will bring his own team with Swedish fellow countryman Christoffer Bergström as the second driver. Gentlemen Driver Bergström was starting racing only recently in 2015 in the Swedisch V8 Championship. He wants to improve his driving skills in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East and is looking forward to his first Porsche GT3 Cup experience.

Öhman himself, who as a racing driver nearly always stuck to his favourite brand, wants to improve on his earlier results. During his first participation, he finished 12th in the overall classification with 97 points (3rd in Bronze Category), last year he already managed to step up to 10th with 102 points (again 3rd in Bronze Category) and this year he wants to make further use of his larger experience and better knowledge of the tracks in the Middle East: "Of course my aim is to always finish within the top guys of my category and win the Bronze Category."

The successful entrepreneur who lives in Stockholm and likes skiing and scuba diving in his leisure time, started his racing career in 2008 in long distance racing at the 24 hours of Dubai. Since 2010 he regularly took part in Scandinavian Porsche GT Racing, since 2013 he is a well-known face in the Scandinavian Porsche Carrera Cup and a regular gueststarter in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.
