Driver Presentation: Bashar Mardini

Bashar Mardini is one of the more experienced drivers in this year’s Porsche GT3 Cup Middle East. The 35-year-old UAE Long-time resident  started his racing career already in 2008 in karting. He won the 2011/2012 Suzuki Swift Cup UAE and then continued focusing a lot on long distance racing. Over the years he took part in many of the European classics such as the 24 hours at Nürburgring and the 12 hours at Mugello. His greatest success so far came in 2016 when he was one of the four drivers winning the 24 hours of Dubai for Lechner Racing.

A manager of the Porsche Club UAE Motorsports department  he usually holds a very close connection to the Porsche brand, but he also gained some additional racing experience in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2016. But returning to the Porsche GT3 Cup Middle East now as a full season competitor after a few guest starts in the past he will now tighten his relationship to his favourite brand once again.
