15 October tainted with sadness

Lechner Racing is filled with sorrow over tragic news of Sean Edwards’ death.

Sean Edwards, 26, died today during a private testing session at Queensland Raceway, Australia. Edwards was in the passenger seat of car for coaching when the car crashed into a wall and burst into flames.

According to Australian media it is believed that Sean Edwards was killed on impact at the track.

The driver of the car was pinned in the wreckage from the waist down for three hours and was airlifted to the hospital. He is now reported to be in stable condition.

The whole Lechner Racing team would like to send out its deepest condolences to the Edward’s family and his loved ones. Tragically, another young and talented race driver has left us too early.
